It’s here, the 50th episode of Uncompressed. Somewhere out there is someone who has been listening to us talk for 50+ hours — may God have mercy on their soul…
But in all seriousness, we have an awesome show for you this week. Despite being a few weeks behind, due to hectic schedules, we manage to get right back in the swing of things with a wide variety of tech and gaming topics. This week also marks the return of news girl Lynn Richter after she left the show a month or so back. The return of her segment brings back a bit of structure to the show so we can talk about topics such as the YouTube lawsuit, AMD’s financial collapse, new Xbox rumors, and $1000 pizzas, without all the dead air.

Another week of off-the-cuff hijinks is what awaits you for this, the 49th edition. I don’t really even know what to say about this weeks show… Still largely unstructured, we rambled on for an awfully long time about Crackdown and Lord of the Rings: Online. At some point I seem to remember us trying to talk about real news like the recent Microsoft fine, and Skype wanting to get into the cellular market; but then it was back to gang members and orcs — because really, killing those two groups in a virtually crafted world is what we do best.
Tony and Thom are in the studio tonight to bring you Episode 48. As usual, this week’s show is heavy on the video game talk, but we also get to a few other topics like the new ATI R600 and the feud between Joe Rogan and Carlos Mencia. Rather than let me blab on here about it, why don’t we just get to it? 
Wow, were we all over the place on this one… This week’s episode consists of more or less a gaming conversation. We have just been too busy in the past week to do the usual news/opinions/reviews/playing&watching bit. This show runs a bit on the short side, but in that time we were able to discuss our thoughts on the Vista release, Guitar Hero for the Wii, and spent a good deal of time chatting about some of the upcoming games we are excited about.

Sometimes life just gets in the way — that is the case this week at Uncompressed. Thom and I have both been putting in hellish hours at our respective jobs, and Sean’s no slouch either. Combine that with our wives/girlfriends wanting to see us at least once a month means that Uncompressed needs to take a week off.
I was really hoping to just get into the studio tonight and crank one out — but it’s obvious that just isn’t going to happen.

With Thom mysteriously missing, the dynamic duo of Tony and Sean forge on with the latest episode. This week we talk about a topic we don’t often give a ton of time to: Mobile Gaming. Some reviews of products sent to us by our friends at Glu, discussion of the Vista launch, Uwe Boll’s continued destruction of the game movie genre, and Sean’s Wii adventures help to round out the rest of the episodes. We run a bit shorter this week, but we figured that might be a good thing after the behemoths we’ve been slinging lately.

It may be a couple days late, but here we are once again bringing you a podcast rich in vitamin U! Manic is the only word to describe this week’s show. What started out as a planned foray into the tech world quickly breaks free of its bonds and rampages through topics like a fat kid at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Oz’s favorite podcaster (Floyd) makes an appearance halfway through the show after doing his best Rip Van Winkle impression, bringing more chaos to an already unstable environment.

The Uncompressed train keeps on chuggin down the track with this, our 44th edition. For those of you that had a hard time paying attention all through last week’s mammoth show you can breathe a sigh of relief that we have managed to wrangle the beast that is Uncompressed into its 1 hour sized cage. This weeks show covered everything from cellphones, and video games, to birthday drinking binges — in other words, you degenerates are in for a good time!
