Another week of off-the-cuff hijinks is what awaits you for this, the 49th edition. I don’t really even know what to say about this weeks show… Still largely unstructured, we rambled on for an awfully long time about Crackdown and Lord of the Rings: Online. At some point I seem to remember us trying to talk about real news like the recent Microsoft fine, and Skype wanting to get into the cellular market; but then it was back to gang members and orcs — because really, killing those two groups in a virtually crafted world is what we do best.

• Sirius and XM plan to merge — form biggest satellite radio company that no one subscribes to.

• All hail CompUSSR.
• Dell getting greedy with open source.
• Microsoft gets hit with $1.5bn fine over digital music.

Of course our two biggest topics of the night were CRACKDOWN and LOTR: ONLINE.
