Uncompressed Episode 42
Christmas is almost upon us, but the Uncompressed crew hasnt taken off for the holidays just yet. This week we discuss the final stages of our contest (which gives you the chance to win a $25 Best Buy gift card), AMD deciding that multiple cores arent everything, the Zune’s DRM finally getting hacked, Nintendo addressing the Wii strap breakage, and what our plans are for the holidays.
We had some technical difficulties with this episode revolving around the release of Skype 3.0, but everything turned out ok in the editing room, and we are pleased to bring you this, the final product.

Follow up to our story on the nVidia 680i based motherboards; it appears nVidia is already releasing a fix. Whether or not this actually corrects the problem completely is still unknown, but things are looking promising. Linky

Is it still a driver issue, or was that another story? My mind is filled with thoughts of XBOX 360’s and other goodness I am sure to get this year, because I have been a very good boy! lol

According to the new information it was a bios issue that appears to have been resolved as of the latest beta release. It hasnt been thoroughly tested by the general public yet, however.

Tony - You mentioned the Charlie Brown Mii that your friend made. I started cracking up when you mentioned it because I was listening to it today at work, and just this morning my co-worker (and fellow Wii line-sitter) asked if I’d made a Charlie Brown Mii cause one showed up on his system. It went from your friend’s, to yours, to mine, to my co-workers. I wonder how far they will travel?
Anyway, good show guys. And Merry Christmas to everyone!
