Uncompressed Episode 29
Tony and Thom are happy to have Sean and Matt back on the show. It’s late, I’m tired, and this is a podcast, so grab the show and find out what we talked about for yourself!

Madden 2007 looks pretty cool on the Nintendo DS
Tipcast is still going strong

Half-Life Episode 2 Trailer
Valve released some new trailers for Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Team Fortreess 2 this week that are looking hot. Here’s a link to the HL2:Ep2 video, but the new TF2 trailer eludes me. I think it’s supposed to be available for download on Steam sometime this week, so definitely keep an eye out for it.
Snakes on a Podcast
Tony saw SoaP this week and hails it as the best thing out in a long time. Amuse and surprise your friends by having Samuel L. Jackson call them on the phone…
Xbox 360 Homebrew Development Coming Soon!
I’m (Thom) personally excited about this one. Microsoft is releasing something called XNA Game Studio Express which will allow hobbyist game developers to create games that will run on their Xbox 360s. Very cool! I say “Bring on the Tetris clones!” =)
Other stuff …
Colbert Report’s Lightsaber Video Challenge
We didn’t talk about it, but Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report is doing something pretty funny. On his show, he aired a video of himself doing a bit of lightsabering (I just made a new word!) and asked viewers to add effects to the video. Check out this article on MSNBC for more information, and you can find the videos at http://www.codebot.org/colbert/. Funny stuff.
Tivo Series 3 : HD Digital Media Recorder
That’s All Folks!
I’m tapped out! I hope everyone enjoys the show. Stay tuned for next week’s 30th Episode Extravaganza! Have a good week.

Snakes on Mother Bleepin Plane! Talk about Viral Marketing, I have been having a blast sending Samuel L. Jackson phone calls around my office. It’s Great! I work in an office of over 200 people and everybody is talking about “Snakes On A Plane”, not becasue they saw the movie, or that they even have plans too, just getting a phone call from Samuel L is good enough!
What a great website. I have to see the movie now!

Too bad Thom couldn’t be at the LAN party longer last weekend! He could have talked about that.
Also, Thom needs to see SoaP. No excuses! It was great.
30th Episode coming soon huh? I really should send an audio question for that!

Did I even mention Fites? Sheesh.
Patch-E and his brothers’ buddies won the CS:Source tournament at the LAN party I dropped in on for a few hours on Sunday. It was the first LAN I’d ever been too and I didn’t really bring anything that could play games other than my DS and PSP, but I’m definitely planning on attending the next one — it looked like fun!

We used to LAN all the time. We would usually get about 20 - 30 people showing up at some dudes house. We would play CS, Warcraft, Age of Empires, Quake, UT, and Rune. (there was also the obligatory music/software/porn trading that goes on at all LAN parties).
Usually we would rent a couple tables, rent a generator to supplement power (used to blow fuses all over the place with that many people) and pick up a couple cases of mountain dew/beer/bawls.
I really miss doing the LAN thing, but most of those guys have grown up/moved away.
Also, back then, DSL and Cable were just starting to be put in here in Milwaukee and it was still uber expensive. These days eveyone has a high speed connection, and voice chat (voice chat didnt exist a few years back), so playing over the internet is A LOT better than it used to be.
Nation, I am already on so many social networking/online dating sites its crazy. Myspace, Consumating, Facebook, Friendster, OKCupid, Textamerica… and those are just a few I can name of the top of my head!
Sean, I did the same thing!!! haha
Patch, we would love to get an audio question. I think its been something like 20 episodes since we got one!

I can’t send phone messages anymore from the SOAP website. Can anyone else?

It looks like its email only now. Probably because the movie has been out for a couple weeks now — well, it was fun while it lasted!

I can’t believe Thom has a MySpace account… so sad.

hahaha
Don’t worry Tyler — I never use it. I just got it to see how things were set up. I’m working on something and wanted to check out the competition.
