Tipcast
After many weeks of redesigns, and late night conference calls, we are proud to welcome you to the launch of Tipcast!
Tipcast is a daily Tips and tricks podcast from the minds of Uncompressed, Tony Nilles and Thom Wetzel. Joining our team is Sean Partridge, who has himself been on many episodes of Uncompressed. For a complete history of Tipcast, please check out “The Origins of Tipcast“.

As I said, Tipcast is a daily podcast, to be released 5 days a week Monday through Friday (hey, even we need a break once in a while). The tips will be primarily technology related with some of the categories being: Computers, Internet, Windows, Mac, Cell Phones, Video Games, Gadgets, and more!
We want to make community a major part of the Tipcast experience; and for that, we need your help! To create this sense of community, we have a comments system so that you can post your thoughts about any given tip right here on the blog. We have a ratings system so you can vote for your favorite tips so that others visiting the site can see what the “hot tips” are. we have a tip submission form so that you can contribute your own tips to the show (while we cant use EVERY tip that is submitted, if we do use your tip we will give you credit in the podcast). Other features such as the presence of a forum have been discussed — but we are looking for a bit of feedback from you, our listeners, on what direction you would like the site to head in.
Speaking of feedback, we love to get it! If you want to send us something, but dont want to post it to the world via the methods above, you can always feel free to email us at tipcast@gmail.com. Tony, Thom, and Sean, all personally view the emails in the box; so you can expect to get a response from a live person — not some stupid robot. If you would prefer to talk rather than type, you can call our Uncompressed line at 262-672-BLAB (2522). Again we appreciate all forms of feedback; if you love the show, or think something could be made better, just let us know — we will do our best to accommodate all constructive ideas.
“So hey, I listen to “Uncompressed”, and you guys have all those fancy subscription buttons over on the right — can I subscribe to Tipcast?” Yup you sure can! To keep the amount of sidebar clutter to a minimum, look for subscription links in each post (note, you only need to subscribe once). Additionally for Tipcast, we have implemented the Podpress plugin so you can listen to the podcast right from your browser. (if this feature becomes popular look for it to be ported over to Uncompressed)
We hope you enjoy Tipcast, and find it to be a useful source of information in your day-to-day life. If you find Tipcast to be helpful, interesting, or just plain entertaining, PLEASE help spread the word! Podcasts like ours rely largely on word of mouth. Due to the huge amount of time it takes to generate daily content, the only way we can keep this thing going is with a strong, growing audience. So please, tell a friend!
