E3: Sony Stumbling…
According to this Wired.com article, Sony just isnt making the showing at E3 that they had wanted to.
From the article…
“I think that (Microsoft) have their heads on straight….They’ve made a much truer gaming system than Sony has. They’re not trying to define the next generation of media content. That’s Sony’s aim — again,” said Jerry Holkins of the gaming website Penny Arcade. “I think it’s a very different person who is going to spend five or six hundred dollars on a console right now.”

A friend of mine (ECM, who I had lunch with) said he went to see the Wii, waited in line for like 3 hours and got to play a grand total of 2 games for five minutes. He liked it and stuff, but geeze, talk about a pain in the ass. Hopefully the crowds die down by Friday. The Playstation 3 however didn’t have any lines to speak of as I checked that myself. I thought the Sonic PS3 title looked fun, but other than that nothing really tickled my fancy. God of War 2 looked awesome (better than most of the PS3 stuff). The PS3 graphics weren’t ‘bad’ but didn’t scream next-gen (at least to me). Overall, The 360 games looked much better.
Interesting stuff… Guess we will have to see if they pull a proverbial “rabbit from the hat” before the actual launch…
