Sex, Lies, and Video Games
In a post im sure G-Man will be proud of, I thought I would bring to light a few of the more “adult” goings on in the game industry this week…
Kids no longer need to look under thier parent’s beds to fulfill thier pr0n addiction — it appears that Oblivion might be able to help them get thier fix. Recently, the ESRB re-rated Oblivion to “M” for mature following the release of a 3rd party mod circulating online which allows players to strip female NPCs topless. Hot Coffee anyone?
For fans of the Rayman series, the newest version “Rayman Raving Rabbids” will be on display at E3. It will be a Nintendo Wii exclusive — Ubisoft has already started releasing some Rayman/Wii inspired artwork…
Keeping with our theme of debautchery, it appears that there is at least one game that wont be appearing at E3. Developers of Naughty America: The Game, an adult themed MMOG has been told they are not welcome at this year’s E3. The game strives to be a mix of online dating a MMORPGS, a crossover which as already been taking place on a WoW server near you.
Need someplace to store all this adult themed fun? Seagate has you covered with thier new 750GB hard drive. On top of copius amounts of storage, it looks to be pretty fast too according to this review.
And finally, to round things out Wired has an interview with the “Sex in Games Lady”, Brenda Brathwaite. Brenda was lead designer for the game Playboy: The Mansion and wrote the book “Sex in Video Games” which should be out later this fall.
