Wiiiiiiiiiii!!!
Nintendo finally announced the official name of thier new console (formerly the Revolution) will be Wii. Of course, such an odd name has led to a bit of internet backlash — but personally I am reminded of a certain beloved squirrel video… Maybe it will be the centerpiece of thier new marketing campaign?
It is in my humble opinion that the MacBook Pro is the sexiest laptop on the market. But for those of you that dont like sleek brushed aluminum, perhaps a little leather is up your alley. In a daring move clearly aimed at executives and the S&M crowd (we here at Uncompressed are under the impression those are the same demographic) Asus is introducing leather bound laptops. The style is unquestionable — but I wonder how well cow hide dissapates heat…
Many parents think thier kids play too many video games — most dont SHOOT AT THEM for doing so. One Florida man decided that his son was gaming a bit too much, so being the conscientious parent that he is, he decided to discharge a weapon to get his point across — and the media says its the children that are becoming too violent???
In gaming hardware land it appears that the PS3 will actually use software emulation to handle its backward compatibility. After this annoucement, thousands of Nintendo fanboys pointed at Sony exclaiming “Wii” as they danced around giggling maniacally, swinging thier tv remotes in a sword-like fashion.
