Red Octane announced a sequel to our favorite PS2 rockstar fantasy Guitar Hero. Im sure a lot of our listeners will be looking forward to this as we got a ton of mail/calls on the subject when talking about it on the show. Have 500 lbs of potatos sitting around that you dont know what to do with? Rent a truck and make a battery! Its a well known fact that potatos are capable of generating a small electrical charge when prodded with the proper types of metal — but if you get enough of them you can actually drive electrical devices! I want one of those new gasoline/potato hybrid cars; heck, at the price of gas, buying truckloads of potatos might be cheaper…

Software pirates rejoice, Besy Buy will hire you for your unlisenced “borrowing” skillz! Apparently the retail giant is in a bit of hot water after Winternals found out thier Geek Squad technicians were/are using a pirated copy of thier software at hundreds of store locations. If I were Winternals I would be pretty angry too, but I would try and get them to pay for licensing rather than sue them out of using the software — I would think that it would be more profitable.

Well, thats about it for this update. I’m still ramping up to doing regular news/updates. At this point its not really a planned part of my day, so I don’t have the time budgeted to scour the news sites and post all the things I think are interesting — but fear not, it’s coming (maybe)…
