Just sending out some holiday greetings to all of our listeners. If you’re not celebrating the Easter holiday don’t worry, the Easter bunny hates you anyway.
Speaking of ill feelings, I always knew Steve Jobs was a bit of a prick but this article about him declining to write the forward for Woz’s new book really drives it home. Im a huge fan of the Woz, and always enjoy reading interviews with him, hearing about his infamous pranks, or listening to him sit in on a session of TWiT. I guess its sad sometimes how people change, although it has been said that Wozniak and Jobs were never really that close even when they were both working together — it appears time only magifies that distance.
The new hotness in the last couple of days has been the Google Calendar. I havent gotten a chance to check it out yet, but I thought I would link it up here for all to try out over the holiday weekend. Im hoping to get a bit of time with it before the next show so we can talk about it a bit. It seems like a cool collaborative tool — who knows, maybe Thom and I could use it to get shows out on time for a change.
Well, I think I will wrap this post up as I have some work to do around the house, and im still trying to recover lost sleep from the latest woot-off, but I just wanted to wish you all the happiest of holidays; cheers.

I am not a fan of the twits when Woz is on, at least not that one that a huge number of people hated.
Google Calendar is good, it took care of my main two issues with 30 boxes (sharing and privacy, 30 boxes does not have enough sharing of calendars and makes too much info public where you cannot opt out).
I also look forward to the point where I can add birthdays and other special dates to my contacts in gmail and it show up on my calendar.
Oh, I have an audio Q I will send in soon, it was one that need to be given some time. Get ThomW to harass me if you do not have it Wednesday morning.

Which was the one people hated? The one where he was at Starbucks with Kevin Mitnick? Because I actually kinda liked the fact that they werent in the “studio”… Maybe its just my love for unstructured chaos coming through…

I believe that poll is skewed because it is mostly fanboys who vote anyway, so if it is not a high percentage being the top level … then they really did not like it.

After reading some of those I liked it for the same reasons a lot hated it. While a bit unprofessional, I enjoyed the conversational nature of that episode — and that it seemed like just a couple of friends chatting about tech. I don’t think I would want the the show to be like that every week, but it was a nice change of format just to keep the show interesting.
Im also horribly facinated by the concept of people being “connected” no matter where they are and being able to communicate like that from a sidewalk outside of a cafe blew my mind!
