Spring Cleaning!
Perhaps cleaning isn’t the proper term; more like updating — but you should still be excited!
There are a couple of new features I want to make you all aware of… First, we have started integrating advertising and refferals into the site. Per the TOS, I can’t tell you to click on them (in fact, if you do *too* much, we get in trouble) BUT I wanted to mention them because if they are something your interested in, the occasional click does indeed help us out.
Second, see that purdy new banner up top? Well, for those of you who download episodes individually rather than subscribing to our feed, that banner will always point you to our latest podcasting goodness. Wallow in its neon glowing glory!
Which brings me to my third item — new content. Previously we would limit the number of posts we made because we didn’t want to “push” the latest episodes down the blog; but thanks to the spiffy new banner, that is no longer an issue — so expect more posting! In fact, the current plan is that we are going to post articles and links on the site via the blog throughout the week; then for the podcast we will discuss more of our thoughts and opinions about those articles rather than just “reporting” the news.
The final new feature is that if you actually click on a blog post, at the bottom near the comments, you will see two icons — one for digg, and one for del.icio.us. By clicking these you help promote U* to the masses. Again, we ask that you don’t overuse these as we are not attention wh0r3s, but if you find something interesting please support us!
I think that about covers it… It’s going to take us a bit to get all of these features up and running at full steam, but as loyal listeners we appreciate your support — and want to make your stay here at U* as entertaining as possible. As I visit here with a certain amount of regularity, Readable content would be welcome. Are you interested in 1 or 2 topic shows? Like an hour of Oblivion? Or a half hour on it and another on whatever Super T is playing?

I think we are pretty happy with the mix of content throughout each show — although we are not against more shows like our “Harry Potter” episode should things present themselves in such a way that we think it could be interesting.
