I bought Oblivion last week from a buddy of mine. I've been so busy working on side work and springtime activities I haven't had a chance to go so far as to get my dude out of the first couple rooms. haha

So I gave in and purchased Oblivion tonight. I resisted for long enough; yet temptation ultimately got the best of me. I am now off to live my second life; I will let you know what I think!

Dude, F.E.A.R. rocks.

I mentioned it on a bunch of shows. If you dug the Half-Life games and Far Cry you need to get F.E.A.R.

I know Thom was digging FEAR, im pretty sure we talked about it on a previous show somewhere -- however, I didnt really dig it. FPS games have an awfully hard time impressing me from a single player aspect these days; if im playing one its probably BF2, or something with a similar multiplayer component. Single player, ive been playing Oblivion -- and a couple of the more recent RTS games such as "Empire at War".

Tony, Thom et al.

In my quest to find a new game to consume a good portion of my nights, I have come across the demo of F.E.A.R. online. After playing for about an hour, I must say that I am impressed. The graphics are amazing. Their use of shadow texturing adds a new dimension to the game, as now lights will cast shadows on all objects, including the character you control. Anyone looking for a new FPS along the same lines as Halflife 2, Doom 3 and FarCry should give it a shot. Below is the link to sample the game.

Hey G-man thanks for listening! I agree that we need more comments around here, but we already got critisized for "sounding too desperate" so I probably shouldnt beg for any. ;)

Oblivion made me cancell my WoW account. I havent had much time for gaming (or podcasting) lately, so in the little free time I have had, Oblivion and Tetris DS have fit the bill. I might resub to WoW once the expansion comes out, but for now I will save myself the $15 per month.

We are hoping to get the show back on a regular schedule. Things should be opening back up for me over the next couple weeks, which means I can start nagging Thom regularly again. Glad you stuck with us during the "slow period" -- we have some things planned that should be fun/interesting.

I still hate EA. As far as classing gaming is concerned I STILL want a next-gen follow up to the X-Wing and TIE fighter series.

Thanks again for listening!

Hey Guys. It's a shame that I seem to be the only one who leaves comments here. I didnt hear my name this time... you forget to insult me? No redos... you miss your chance and thats it. Anyway..

Good show. Oblivion has put a slight strain on BF2. Seems Liminal is somewhat hooked. It might get worse when I get my new video card and then load the game. I will not be buying any "micro" updates for it though. If they wanted to create an update that was complete with enough features to make it worth my time... maybe. It would take to much effort to go through the process to spend 2 dollars for armor for my horse. If the content is already in game... then I am sure the "haxors" will break into it and then bunches of other people will not be buying it also.

The faxing thing that Tmusics friend ... eerrr... Tyler's friend... It sounds like a great idea. I hope he can get it going. I would imagine marketing is gonna be his biggest hurdle. Tell him Good Luck.

In the vein of old games. (SiN) I have been working my way through Command and Conquer. First created by Westwood Studios (now defunct) and I guess bought by Electronic Arts. Ea repackaged ALL and I do mean ALL the C&C games onto 1 disk. This includes Generals, which is still on the shelves as a standard game. They must have reworked an interface for the older original game, because it works just fine under XP. C&C first came out in I believe 1995. So it was pretty much designed to run on Win95.

I still plan on building (rebuilding) a top of the line Win98 computer so that I can play all my old games. I cant part with them. Until then... EA has softened my heart towards them (a little) They are still the EVIL Empire.... but there is now hope that they may change (not this century).

Anyway... until the next time you decide to do a show...
