Uncompressed: Episode Six
As our weekly podcast spirals out of control, we present Episiode Six of Uncompressed. Aged to perfection perhaps? Nah… Thom and Tony ramble on about Xbox 360s, the Nintendo Revolution, Konfabulator Yahoo! Widgets, Greasemonkey, and a bunch of other (hopefully) interesting and entertaining stuff.

Thom’s mike has some issues. He sounds like he is in a big empty room compared to Tony. The typing gets annoying after awhile
I’m sure that you have seen my other posts on the suckyness of EA. It would come as no surprise on who I voted for. Altho… it is more on the “get thier money then abandon them” theme rather than the “lets hog all the franchise”.
Good show. uummm … you gonna try for some kind of regular schedule…. or just when ever you find the time?
Gonna make me have to hunt up some other podcasts to listen to…… Gman

Gong, working on the mic issues with Thom! He has a pop filter on its way, which although he didnt have any popping issues, it should warm up some of the sound and cut down on the echos. Also he was sitting pretty far away from it, which also leads to echoing. We need to get him set up so hes more in front of the mic, and his body should reduce some of the echos coming off the walls. Even though we had some audio problems, I thought Thom sounded much cleaner and clearer than on previous programs. On previous eps he sounded “muddled” to me. Agree? Disagree?
As far as a regular schedule goes, I would love to. Unfortunately real life gets in the way. I suppose this is something Thom and I could discuss and try to commit to, but I dont see it happening in the immediate future.
Other podcasts that are like ours I can suggest are “Diggnation” and “This Week in Tech” (actually more like ours is like thiers, not vice versa — they came first and are the big dogs). I also enjoy “Security Now”, “Podnography” and “Mugglecast”. Thom mentioned another ‘cast he likes in the show notes above — and finally I would check out http://www.podcastpickle.com for some up-and-comers.
As always, thanks for listening!

I’ve been having problems just because I’ve been so busy with side work and the impending holidays. I have to get my Xmas shopping started still. lol
