One more thing I wanted to mention on the show (but we ran out of time) was this really neat link. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out this awesome video of some dude’s crazy Christmas Lights!
Here are links to some of the things we talked about on the show!

Just a comment, if you submit an audio question OR comment (we will play some of those too) please make sure it is in .wav or .mp3 — if you for some reason cant use either of those make it in something as standard as possible (although I think that would be .wav or .mp3, no?) so I can manipulate it properly. While we will not edit anything to change the message of your audio question or comment, we do reserve the right to edit it for time and appropriateness; so please dont complain if we have to hack down your 5 min rambling — the show runs long enough as it is!

In response to everyone writing in about this episode, YES I cut Thom off about a million times. I was also talking as fast as a cracked-out gerbil. I dont know why I was so jazzed for this ep but I was, so deal.

Tell them to get over it
I thought the show was fine. It takes practice to be able to walk (talk) the fine line between cutting each other off and dead air. Knowing that you need or are expected to respond is complicated by the fact that you two cannot see the expression of the other guy. Communication is much more than just talking.
Thanks for the reminder of the sites I forget about. I sometimes ignore them when I am trying not to spend money.

Good point G-man. Thom and I were actually talking about that at some point (maybe 2 weeks ago?) that its pretty difficult to see when to jump in and such since we are several hundred miles apart. Its funny actually, after show one, when talking to people about it, they didnt realize that Thom was in PA and I was in WI — they said it sounded like we were in the same room. I took that as a compliment to our production values, as a lot (read: the vast majority) of have podcasts just awful sound quality — so its hard to even listen to the content because it sounds so awful. When we set out to do this we wanted to make sure that even though we may just be a couple of internet-nobodys, we were going to sound like we were top notch not only in content (we hope!) but also in sound quality. But thanks for raising that point about nonverbal communication — I *seriously* felt bad after listening to the show, and Thom can attest I apologised to him about 100 times since then. If nothing else your comment made me feel a bit less guilty!
Thanks for listening, and im glad some of the sites are useful to you.

Good show, guys. Lots of good info about the deal sites in there, but where are the links? Am I just blind, or have they not made it up yet?
Good work on the show prep; you had a lot of info to cover, which is good, even though you didn’t get to all of it. (I was chuckling when you setup the mini game reviews to be a quick “hot” or “not”, then proceeded to talk about each one in depth.
Good stuff though.)
On a side note, how do I keep iTunes from re-downloading past episodes after I have deleted them from the list? I’ll have to look into that…

Okay, I’m going to look like an idiot, but I swear the links weren’t there two seconds ago when I wrote that. ^^

lol Floyd — They were definitely there. I posted them late Wednesday night.
They don’t show up on the main page, so maybe that’s why you missed them. You have to click on the “read more” link to open up this page to get to the links.

Floyd, iTunes should only download the current ep. So if you want to delete them after you have listened to them, wait until the next ep is out before deleting the previous one. That should solve your problem. (you will then notice that you have the option to “get” previous eps, but it wont actually download them)

I dont know if it hurts your ratings … but…. I just down load the ep from the link on this site. I then import it into Creative media, give it an album name, artist, and genure. After that… an autosync and it’s on my Zen.
Thom…. For accessories… the carry case for the old Ipac PDA works great as a case for the Zen
